Attention all Members AGM September 23rd 2010

Added: 23rd August 2010

The Murwillumbah Cycle Club will hold it’s Annual General Meeting on September the 23rd 2010 at the Murwillumbah RSL commencing at 7:30pm.

All positions on the committee will be declared vacant and nominations and voting will be held on the night. If you are unable to attend and would like to be nominated or nominate a fellow member for a position and would like to vote please contact me to arrange a proxy vote.

A number of current committee members have indicated that other commitments will prevent them from continuing in their current role so we need members to come forward and assist with running the club. We have experienced a very successful season already and we still have a few months to go in the season. We have a fantastic club with membership that has just passed the 150 mark this season, a true credit to all members. Having the AGM in September will allow for a handover of roles to the new committee members, a system that worked very well last year.

If you have any questions about what is required to carry out the roles of the committee please don’t hesitate to contact me. All enquiries will be treated in confidence. We look forward to your assistance.

Regards Scott

Thanks for making the Banana Criterium a success.

Added: Tuesday 24th August

A special thanks to all riders who made the trip to race with us on Sunday.

It’s no secret that we were struggling for race numbers at the close of online entries a fortnight out from race day. With the assistance of Cycling Qld and the fantastic support of clubs and riders throughout Qld and NSW we were able to attract an additional 40% of entries for Sunday. The feedback from riders has been very positive. Everyone enjoyed the fast technical layout and we hope that we can schedule future races at this Industry Central circuit for everyone to enjoy.

A special thanks to Steve Davies from Gold Coast Cats  for postponing their Nerang Crit, Garry Wardrop for encouraging additional junior riders and finally to Dennis Burger and his team of volunteers and officials for making the race day run smoothly and without incident.

The results can be accessed from here and a few snaps can be viewed from here.

Thanks again and we look forward to seeing you next time in Murwillumbah.

Regards Scott
