On behalf of the family of Ray Jackson

To our dear friends,
Words cannot describe how devastated we are. Dad was a wonderful man! Thank you all for your wishes and for sharing your precious memories. We know that Dad has touched many lives and we are so incredibly proud of the positive impact he has had on so many people from all walks of life.

He would've wanted us all to pick up and carry on and in time we will. For now, we will cry and laugh together as we remember him with his beaming smile, encouraging words, beautiful laugh and his silver mane.

Karen, his mum Nancy, Luke and I and our families invite you to join us to celebrate his great life and bid farewell at his funeral to be held at Saint Stephen's College, Upper Coomera on Monday 6th July. Final details will be posted soon.

Love to you all and your families
Catherine Jackson

Members of Murwillumbah Cycling Club are saddened to hear of the death of Club Member and long time cycling stalwart Ray Jackson. Ray passed away following an aviation accident earlier this week.
He will be long remembered for his dedication in mentoring many young cyclists. Amongst these Ray introduced Olympic Gold Medalist Sara Carrigan to the sport and helped with the development of her cycling prowess, just as he helped many other junior cyclists. Ray never lost his sense of humour even in the hills when as one of the more muscular cyclists in the peleton, exceptional effort was required to hold the wheel of lighter competitors. He was a highly respected educator and developed and mentored cycling programs within the senior school environment.
All Club members join to express our condolences to Ray's family and wide circle of friends.
