Grafton Cycle Club Announces
The 2011 Mauri Kautto Memorial Teams Time Trial
Sunday, 12th June, 2011
Teams of 5 – Open, Masters and Mixed -100km
Teams of 4 - Womens 68 km
Big prizes – over $2000 plus the jackpot prize
Jackpot currently stands at $1300 for any team that sets a new record - the long standing current record stands at 2hours-17minutes-41seconds
(If two or more teams break the record, it`s winner take all.)
All teams eligible for $100 prize for nearest estimated time.
Pre-race nomination preferred for seeding purposes- Day licences also available. (Entry forms online soon -www.graftoncycleclub.com.au)
Pluggers` prize for all teams over 3 hours will be randomly drawn
All riders to be U19 or older
All helmets must comply with Australian Standards
All equipment, particularly time trial bikes and time trial bars and bolt on handle bar extensions must comply with NSW cycling federation technical regulations: nsw.cycling.org.au
This exciting time trial for teams of five with four to finish, (Teams of four with three to finish for womens event) is an out and back course north from Grafton along the Summerland Way. For the past eleven years it has been named in honour and memory of Mauri Kautto, a well respected rider from Grafton who won many events and was a great time trialer. A tribute to Mauri is included in the official programme.
